Lean Enterprise Deployment Leader

Reason for Vacancy:  

The Operational Excellence Group has a need for a Lean Enterprise Deployment Leader.  The position reports to the Director, Global Business Excellence and will be based at the corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA.  The individual will be responsible for developing and managing all aspects of the global Lean Enterprise Deployment in a way that maximizes quality and reliability while reducing cost.  The focus will be on developing and institutionalizing standard business practices with regard to Lean Enterprise with the purpose of creating a culture of continuous improvement.

 

Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for a wide range of responsibilities including:Lead the deployment of Lean Enterprise disciplines in all areas of the business globally.  This includes sites in France, China, US and Germany.  Ensure standard deployment of Lean principles across all regions. Participate in identifying and prioritizing strategic Lean projects that contribute to continuous improvement of business processes. Work with on-site Regional Lean Six Sigma Leads to ensure projects are completed on-time and that they meet the established project charter.  Ensure the projects are documented when completed in a way that is appropriate for presentation to senior management. Develop corporate Lean Enterprise Business System and Training programs. Conduct Lean training at all sites as required. Coach and mentor others in all aspects of Lean Enterprise. Facilitate projects and Kaizen events as needed. Track cost savings to established goals to ensure corporate business plans are achieved with regard to continuous improvements. Develop Lean Enterprise Assessment and conduct quarterly on-site assessments at each site. Maintain Lean Business Excellence metrics and ensure Lean activities help meet or exceed established goals.

 

Qualifications Required:B.S. Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.  Master’s  Degree preferred. Prior experience in leading Lean Deployment is required.  Must be able to show consistent past successes in previous positions. Strong communication skills required. Lean Manufacturing expertise.  Certification is a plus. Experience with the following manufacturing processes: assembly, molding, machining, stamping, forming, casting, turning. PCB manufacturing experience is a plus.
