Kohler has an exciting opportunity available for a Lean Facilitator within the Process Improvement department. The Lean Facilitator will be an internal consultant for the implementation of the Kohler Operating System(KOS) including the coordination of kaizen workshops, business process redesign events and all other resources within the KOS philosophy. This position will be instrumental in providing training to Kohler Company associates relating to the principles and tools of KOS and ensuring KOS Incorporates sustaining techniques that make the improvement process part of the daily way of doing business.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Change Agent: Assists in the Corporate KOS department’s KOS implementation to confirm alignment with the strategic direction of the company; engage functional business leaders to adopt KOS practices.
• Is assigned to business unit level KOS project work in functional areas with current KOS and Continuous Improvement Coordinator resources.
• Assists Kohler Company business leaders with the continued implementation KOS.
• Mentors and assists Continuous Improvement Coordinator within business units.

• In cooperation with the Director - KOS, defines KOS projects and events and conducts those projects in Kohler Co. business units.

• Drives key measurements for the organization which are quantifiable and measurable and which strategic performance is measured against. Monitors results to make sure continuous improvements are maintained and benefits are sustainable over the long term.

• Has a thorough understanding of the Kohler Six-Step Improvement Model.
• Demonstrate expert skill in all of the key facets of KOS including flow, quality and team-based performance.
• Must perform 1 Six Sigma project per year if Black Belt certified to maintain Certified Black Belt status.
• Provide leadership with on going training and information relating to KOS.
• Develop and document standard methodologies to solve problems and find root causes.
• Incorporate KOS principles and methods in new product launches.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree required. Green Belt certification required. Black Belt preferred. Minimum 6-8 years experience (5 years with Engineering degree) directly with tools and methods in a lean manufacturing environment. Broad knowledge and application experience with process improvement, structured problem solving, TQM tools and methods. Strong project management skills necessary; critical skills required:
• Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, and coach.
• Demonstrated project management excellence. Track record of results
• Strategic business acumen and deployment; taking creative action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a strategic systematic approach to decision-making
• Excellent team facilitation skills. Build teams in a collaborative work style; Previous successful experience in team building and motivating others
• Strong Leadership and Change Agent skills
• Able to communicate effectively with others and establish credibility
• Able to overcome obstacles using positive facilitation, teamwork, and influence through building and maintaining relationships.
