LEAN MANUFACTURING MANAGER II

FOCUS/OBJECTIVE:
The purpose of this role is to lead, manage and guide the lean manufacturing evolution within the Andersen enterprise. This role integrates with the Andersen Manufacturing Support Services to develop and deploy lean knowledge, culture, principles, tools &and techniques across the corporation. The Lean Manufacturing Manager defines and supports Andersen’s Lean strategy and associated continuous improvement programs, structures, and activities (TPM, work teams, just-in-time, built-in quality, continuous improvement.) This position reports directly to the Manager of Manufacturing Support Services and shares responsibility for successful implementation with the entire leadership team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in the definition of the corporate lean development strategy in accordance with the company’s strategies, the operation’s structure, and Toyota Production System ( TPS) principles in order to achieve breakthrough business objectives.
Integrate lean strategies and implementation activities with other corporate departments (Quality, HR, Strategic Sourcing, Design and Development, Supply Chain, etc)
Create and deliver training modules and learning events to develop lean leadership competencies. Develop activities for sharing best practices in lean management and implementation across the enterprise.
Provide leadership, technical and cultural guidance & consulting, direction, and coaching in Lean Manufacturing principles and tools to leadership and associates. Consult & coach in the use of lean management tools and principles.
Develop, maintain and improve the Andersen Manufacturing System; Support plant management in identifying and permanently removing obstacles that impact the lean transformation
Assist in the development of strategic site plans for the entire enterprise; ensure successful methods are shared and deployed where appropriate
Directly supervise lean engineers and / or training facilitators.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

BS in Engineering, Manufacturing Management or related field, or equivalent
MS/MBA preferred
6 to 10 years of manufacturing experience (most of them in a lean environment)
Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver lean training (classroom and hands on)
Demonstrated extensive lean knowledge through numerous successful practical implementations
