Lean Six Sigma Training Manager

The Lean Six Sigma Training Manager is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of PPG’s Quality Process methodologies. Courses may be delivered by incumbent, other PPG resource, or third party provider. This position will have an initial focus as Lead Instructor for Lean Enterprise-Manufacturing, but is expected to develop expertise in Lean Enterprise-Transactional or Six Sigma for Manufacturing. As part of the Corporate Quality team, the incumbent will work with businesses and functions to select processes, projects, and people to drive for results in the application of Quality Process tools (Lean, Six Sigma, and Business Process Improvement). Although the home base will be General Office, training assignments will occur at or near any of PPG’s global locations. Travel is expected to be 30-50%, both domestic and international.

Successful candidates must have a minimum of 8-10 years of work experience, in at least two functions and roles. Four year degree required, preferably in a business or engineering discipline. The job requires a deep knowledge of Lean Enterprise in a manufacturing environment. Additional experience in Six Sigma or transactional process improvement is a strong plus. Must be able to demonstrate successful experience managing projects using Quality tools and methods (Lean and/or Six Sigma) with a proven track record of achieving results. Strong interpersonal, presentation and writing skills and the ability to earn credibility with people from the shop floor up to and including senior management are required. Fluent English as a minimum, other languages a plus.
