Primary resource for supporting the Plant in its Lean Transformation through the implementation of the Stanley Fulfillment System (SFS) as well as developing and implementing Continuous Improvement Projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Delivers practical, hands-on training and mentoring to associates in SFS/Lean methodology and tools to eliminate waste in all administrative, manufacturing and support functions. Measures and reports progress on an on-going basis using the site's SFS/Lean Scorecards, Pro-Trak and related measurement tools.

Scope/Supervision and Interaction:
Position matrix reports to the Plant Manager and Matrix to Corporate Operations. Ensures full SFS education and implementation in all functional areas at the plant or facility level to ensure consistency and sustainability. Provides leadership and direction to the Site Staff. Develops, manages and trains the SFS/Lean teams, where appropriate.

Essential Functions:
Works with Plant Leadership Team to define the current and future state Value Streams to plan and prioritize continuous improvement activities.

Acts as the facility SFS 2010 leader to ensure activities are identified and actions are being taken to realize goals set for the facility. Works with Site leadership on Lean implementation using various lean Tools. Creates a standardized system and methodology to be used throughout the facility and follows up on improvements to ensure they are sustained and for ensuring open newspaper items are closed.

Ensures adherence to SFS standards for the site, Value Stream and team improvement boards, enabling a continuous improvement culture and progression of the lean journey. Where appropriate, supports Plant lean team members through required and special team meetings. Provides high level of technical and operational recommendations in meeting productivity, material control, product quality, and customer service goals.

Ensures that the site organizational structure has been reviewed and that resources are aligned for the Lean Transformation.

Ensures and delivers on-going education of all employees at the site in SFS and lean tools. Conducts Kaizen, TPM, 5S, and other workouts in support of the site’s objectives. Promotes a continuous learning environment.

Communicates the status of all Lean efforts to the business and platform leadership. Provides documentation of results and benefits achieved to the division staff as reported through the business reviews and other SFS & plant reporting.

Documents and shares "best practice" methods and ideas across the business. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (Business Leaders, Plant Managers, Function Managers, etc.) for communication of SFS goals, processes and achievements.

Uses lean principles to assist in the design and execution of new manufacturing processes, methodologies and equipment layouts to improve overall equipment effectiveness
