Legal Collections Analyst

Accounting Principals is looking for a Legal Collections Analyst for an immediate contract-to-hire opening with a great Jax company. The Legal Collections Analyst will be responsible for these and other duties:  Preparation of accounts and documents required to place accounts with collection agencies (first and second placements) Interface with collection agencies to answer questions, provide data and/or additional documents to assist in prompt collection of placements Audit collection agencies accounts to ensure compliance with our guidelines, as well as with best practices; access agencies websites and review notes and actions in progress, and ensure that all placed accounts are worked diligently, keep up to dated Inventory list of active/closed accounts/ make recommendations if applicable Review the remittance reports to ensure that payments are remitted promptly; address any issues as they arise Review settlement proposals and suit requests from agencies and make sound business recommendations to the Legal Collection Manager Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly goals for increase external net returns while maintaining professional, financially sound customer relationships Qualifications/Experience: College education, associates degree or equivalent experience in legal collection. Resume must show strong working knowledge of collection laws and practices as well as bankruptcy laws. Strong organization, negotiation and analytical skills.   Communicates effectively, professionally and independently with Collection Agencies, Attorneys and other external vendors, as well as with Upper Management in Manager’s absence, to discuss settlements, business cases, etc. Strong resource to other legal team members. Proven experience in the creation of business case / risk analysis data. Experience in resolving disputes and has the proven ability to recognize accounts which may present potential risk to the company.
