Reporting to: Director of Production, Engineering and Quality (Americas).

 

Basic Duties

 

Support the CZV-Technologies Tijuana Lab, Mexico, plus the CZV North America (NA) Lab Network in the Surfacing and Finishing production departments. This will include all of the following:

 

Ensure the CZV Surfacing & Finishing processes are controlled and yielding best results.

 

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as they arise.

 

Work closely with CZV-Tijuana Lab Manager and Engineering Dept.

 

Travel to, and assist, CZV-NA Lab Network with production/process issues.

 

Support new product testing and validation as required.

 

Participate in NA Technical Operations Team.

 

Work with CZV owned labs to communicate and implement relevant SOP’s, Rx Quality and Validation methodologies, testing protocols, etc. Assist with related training as required.

 

Critical Skills required

 

Undergraduate degree in physical sciences or related field or equivalent work experience in a related field is acceptable.

 

Five or more years working in an Rx-Lab environment, specifically in Surfacing & Finishing

 

Previous as a Lab Senior Technician, Engineer, or Supervisor in a full-service Rx-Lab.

 

Knowledge of the latest Surfacing/Edging technology and processes .

 

Knowledge of Optical Measurement instruments and advanced optics required.

 

Proven strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem solving skills are essential.

 

Aptitude for process problem-solving and root-cause analysis

 

Ability to conduct training in Optics, Surfacing and Finishing

 

Good computer skills project management

 

Knowledge of basic Quality concepts

 

Approximately 30% Travel flexibility

 

Fluent in Spanish and English
