Lighting Quotations Analyst

 

Lightolier, a premiere leader in the lighting industry is seeking a Quotations Analyst for our San Antonio, TX sales office. Position is responsible for pricing end-user accounts, crossing competitive companies and determining the correct price levels to meet market while maximizing company profits.

 

¨ Issues accurate quotations that meet market levels to assure retaining the end-user account

¨ Increases sales while maintaining/increasing the company’s profit level

¨ Crossovers competitive products accurately for quoting our products

¨ Serves as a technical resource for an assigned region or group of customers

¨ Provides technical support to end-users

¨ May provide backup to manager and other department analysts as needed

¨  Assumes additional related responsibilities as assigned

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

¨ Associate’s degree with 2-5 years prior quotations experience in lighting industry or equivalent combination of education and experience

¨ Familiar with lighting/quotations/customer service or sales environment

¨ Must be a team player and able to build strong working relationships with sales management and sales staff

¨ Good analytical (mathematical) skills and excellent prioritization skills

¨ Excellent interpersonal skills; communication, organization and computer (Excel/Word) skills

¨  Able to work effectively in a fast paced, high pressure, time sensitive environment

 Desirable Qualifications

 

¨ Bachelor’s degree/college coursework in Architecture/Electrical Engineering

¨ Prior training in a lighting manufacturer of fixtures or lamps/IES coursework

¨ Lighting industry experience; prior national accounts quotations experience

¨ Capable of creating lighting layouts and a comprehensive light fixture bid

¨ Good understanding of competitor’s products
