About the Company

Farmland Dairies was founded in 1914 in Fairlawn, New Jersey.  With 10 cows and a wagon, a young farmer and his family sold fresh milk by the ladle, house to house, in Fairlawn.  By the 1930’s, the family had built their first milk plant.  In the 1970’s, they built a state of the art facility in Wallington, NJ and attained wider acclaim in 1986 by becoming the first outside dairy granted a license to sell milk in New York City in 70 years.  ‘Big Apple’ consumers immediately embraced Farmland and enjoy quality milk at lower prices to this day.

 

Farmland Dairies remains the market leader of milk and milk products in New York/New Jersey Metro, New England, the Southeast, and across the nation with our Skim Plus, and our shelf stable Parmalat and Lil' Milk brands. From our State of the Art, HACCP approved Facility in Wallington, NJ to Grand Rapids, Michigan, where we process and package all UHT aseptic dairy and broth products. About the Opportunity

The Loading Supervisor works in conjunction with the Distribution, Elten and Production departments to coordinate the daily loading of routes, dealers and depot. They generate and update all floor stock inventories of produced and purchased products kept in the loading areas, as well as all delivery documentation for route deliveries, short on load cuts and settlement work. Supervision of scheduling of loading personnel.

 

About the Requirements/Duties

The ideal person will:Have basic supervisory skills for loading personnelHave a good understanding of shipping and receiving documentation and inventory controlSAFETY – Maintain a high standard of safety that carries through on all work performedGMPs – Has a conscious awareness of his area and maintains its compliance to GMP rulesHACCP – Is active in the every day procedures of the HACCP program and its importanceShceules the cooler loading staff (loaders, switchers, checkers, bally box loaders, mix loaders, flowrack operators and order makersOversees time cards and logs all tardiness and missed days, as well as vacation bids.Coordinate the loaders breaks and lunches as not to hinder the flow.Receive routes, bally box orders, ice cream mix orders and check inventories, coordinate with production supervisors to produce any wire products that is needed for potential cuts.Receive bally box orders and check inventories, coordinate with production supervisors to produce any corrugated products that is needed for potential cuts.Receive ice cream mix orders and check inventories, coordinate with production supervisors to produce any ice cream products that is needed for potential cuts.
