Log Home Sales Consultant - Development Division

Southland Log Homes, the nation’s largest log home producer and industry leader, is currently seeking a Sales Consultant for our Development Division located in Irmo, SC.

The ideal candidate will be motivated, energetic and responsible for making contact with target customers, penetrating prospect accounts, locating decision makers via the telephone, providing basic initial information and identifying potential sale opportunities.

This Sales Consultant will be fully trained to demonstrate product knowledge and answer front-line questions about the company's products, including log home packages, construction process, pricing, etc. This knowledge will be applied during prospecting calls, actively engaging in conversation, pre-qualifying sales leads, identifying opportunities, and setting telephone and face-to-face appointments for our outside national sales team.

This individual will perform targeted call campaigns, qualify information requests, research and verify information to penetrate accounts and identify sales opportunities. 

The Sales Consultant will be required to produce consistent, accurate work and use the company's standardized tracking and reporting tools (including Siebel database) to communicate with members of the national sales team.

A fast-paced work environment offers advancement for aggressive, results-oriented candidates. Must have enthusiasm, excellent speaking voice and proven telephone skills.

Successful criteria for this position include volume of telephone contacts, accuracy of information obtained, and the quality and volume of opportunities/appointments turned over to sales team.

This position requires occasional travel (30%) to various sales locations throughout the U.S. and occasional weekend work.

Southland provides complete training over a two-month time frame, with formal and informal training segments. Each new consultant is provided a network of corporate support and mentoring during this time.
