Logistics Manager

 



 

The Manager will be responsible for strategic planning and daily execution transportation across the Archway & Mothers Cookies network and developing logistics services for key customers with diverse multi-modal transportation needs. This role will be responsible for building and developing a team, developing logistics processes and policies that support company goals.  This role will also have responsibility for the development of metrics and continuous for the North American Logistics Team.

 

A successful candidate will bring many industry contacts from both the shipper and carrier components of the logistics industry.

 

This role will be based in Battle Creek, MI.

 

Key Responsibilities of this position include:

· Managing all activities and process related to transportation planning and execution across North America including private fleet, LTL, TL, and rail

· Analyzing the transportation plan to ensure cost and service objectives are met

· Transportation budget development

· Developing a continuous improvement program



Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or related field required

· 5 + years demonstrated experience in Transportation, Logistics, Customer Service

· Project management experience as part of a project team responsible for design and implementation of a TMS

· Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments and levels  (internally and externally) to achieve results

· Demonstrated ability to analyze data to make cost/service decisions is required 

· Knowledge of transportation regulations and policies

· Excellent organizational, communication, problem solving, analytical and decision making abilities required

·  Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
