LOGISTICS SPECIALIST, HCV

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
To handle the day-to-day logistical activities associated with the construction and deployment of HCV products. Primary duties are to handle inbound and outbound traffic for parts and completed cargo products.

SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Ability to operate fork truck per company safety guidelines. Unloading / loading trucks - including quantity verification, damages, etc. Enter parts received in to on-site inventory system. Prepare HCV products for delivery in accordance to Smiths Detection, Inc. guidelines. Pick all parts for production units. Maintain shipping / receiving files and paperwork. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the manufacturing floor area, including all stored items. Comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies. Comply with all applicable U.S. export control and security regulations. Other duties as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience: Prior warehouse experience required. High School Diploma and two years minimum experience with material processing activities. 1 -2 years of warehousing experience, Strong computer skills with demonstrated ability to use the following: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Experience in SAP

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift up to 50lbs when required. Self-motivated, needs minimal supervision and works with a sense of urgency. Ability to possess a CDL and have a clean driving record. Company-approved fork-truck operations training. Ability to comply with safety and environmental policies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Warehouse, indoor and outdoor.
