Position Overview: 

Learn basic warehouse functions. Must remember to always keep quality and safety first. Train and certify on all lift trucks. Be familiar with all department staging lanes and return lanes. Communicate effectively with other departments.  Learn the RF scanners and how to move product in the warehouse. Must make sure that all trash debris and spills get taken care of.  Participate in department safety program. Maintain cleanliness and perform housekeeping functions in the facility. Assist and report to Logistics Management on any paperwork or system questions. Assist Schiff in maintaining high inventory accuracy by having a high accuracy rate on transactions and by reporting any discrepancies. Report any system or equipment problems. Assist in regular rework and cleanup tasks.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Follow procedures regarding safety and cleanliness of the facility.

· Paperwork and system accuracy.

· Palletizing and stretch wrapping outbound sales orders.

· Order accuracy.

· Assist with day to day tasks for replenishment and pulling of orders.

· Properly read and comply with SOPs for their area.

· Ability to use all material handling equipment.

· Reconciliation of daily inventory counts.

 

 

Knowledge and Skills: 

· Good communication skills.

· Good understanding of SOPs and GMPs.

· Good interactive skills in facilitating team solutions.

· Ability to follow policies and procedures.

· Ability to interact with personnel in the department.

· Good understanding of automated systems, radio frequency picking and JD Edwards.

· Capable of lifting 50 pounds.

 

 

Education and Work Experience: 

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred

· Forklift experience preferred

· 6 months as a trainee or equivalent experience
