Logistics and Procurement Manager

ALLIED ALLOYS, LP, a company experiencing fantastic growth and a growing international presence is in need of a Logistics and Procurement Manager.  The candidate will have experience in developing, implementing and monitoring all distribution/logistics management activities required for the timely and efficient transportation and distribution of products. Will also be responsible for purchases by the organization by evaluating and approving vendors and authorizing purchase orders for goods or services.

REQUIREMENTS BA/BS degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or related field. 5+ years of experience managing the distribution of industrial material; at least 2 years of procurement experience; Proficiency in Word Processing, Excel spreadsheets, and Quick Books. Self-directed and independent with excellent communication and leadership skills. Good negotiating skills. Familiar with Material and Service contracts. Knowledge of international shipping regulations and import/export. Experience in shipping of containers, trucks, and barges.
