 MACHINE OPERATIONS MANAGER

 

COS Samoa Packing Company, a major U.S. tuna processing and packaging company of Chicken of the Sea International operating in the U.S. Territory of American Samoa, currently have a vacancy for a Machine Operations Manager in the Production Engineering Department.

 

Successful candidate must be a High School graduate and possess relevant Trades certification or equivalent.  Five (5) or more years ‘hands-on’ production maintenance experience  with three (3) or more years at supervisory level required.  Strong English communications and math skills essential.



Bachelors degree in engineering field advantageous.  Experience and knowledge of standard operating procedures for food processing, double seam and retort, sanitation, safety and cost control preferred. Knowledge of FDA and OSHA regulations advantageous.  Knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures desirable.  Management / supervisory skills training a plus.  Ability to communicate effectively in Samoan a plus.
