MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN

The Company Genie Industries is a $2 billion (revenue) division of Terex Corporation. Genie, based in Redmond, WA, has approximately 4500 team members spread throughout the globe, though Redmond is the primary location, with 3000+ team members across the corporate campus.   The parent company, Terex, is a $7.5 billion (revenue) company that manufactures, sells and services capital equipment for the mining and construction industries world wide. Terex is a Fortune 500 company, with a listed stock on the NYSE. The company is headquartered in Westport, CT.   Genie is a company with a strong safety first mentality, team based culture, respect for the individual and high integrity. The company has grown rapidly over the past four years and is in the midst of a transition from a privately held small company, to a publicly owned big company. Management desires to maintain much of the small company informality while implementing some of the large company disciplines that are required in today's environment.   We are recruiting a Journeyman level position for an industrial electrician. This person is responsible for supporting electrical projects in all Genie facilities in Redmond and Moses Lake, Washington. The vast majority of work is in Redmond. As an industrial electrician you'll be involved in industrial machine/process control and some commercial wiring. The schedule will be a 4-10 work week but the applicant must be able to be flexible on work hours and available on an on-call basis (off shift call ins are rare). Must be available to travel to Moses Lake for work periods up to 5 days. Essential Functions   Industrial installation of branch circuits including piping and wire pulls. Control signal circuit installation and panel make up. Troubleshooting of building power and machine power systems. Low volt signaling. Commercial lighting and basic office power distribution. Inspect equipment for electrical wear and hazards. Must possess a WA State Journeyman Electrical License. Minimum 3 years experience as a Journeyman Electrician. Strong knowledge of NEC Codes. Strong pipe bending skills. Able to troubleshoot AC/DC circuits. Able to read electrical prints. Must be self motivated. Able to complete projects in a timely manner with little to no supervision. Ability to troubleshoot machine control circuits desirable but not required. Knowledge of UL508 Code helpful but not required. Knowledge of NFPA79 machine code helpful but not required. Must be able to work well with others while always maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.  Must be able to follow specific directions precisely and accurately.  Must be able to take as well as give directions on projects.   Working Conditions:   Will be working under an electrical foreman for the department. Extensive work in ceilings using lift equipment. Majority of work is performed in manufacturing environment. Limited hazardous location work.
