Machine Operator Induction Set-Up

Summary: Responsible for the set up of induction equipment in heat treat plant. Some coil design, straightening and fabrication will be necessary. Sample development and final inspection will also be conducted within this position.

 

Requirements: Education: High School diploma or equivalent.Experience: at least six months to one year in heat treat industryLanguage Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds, bend, lift, climb, and stand for extended periods of time.Work Environment: Regularly exposed to heat, dust, noise humidity, fumes, etcMay be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operator certificationMust have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules.

 

Essential Job Functions:Responsible for setup of induction equipment, to meet customer specifications.Responsible for startup, monitoring and shutdown of induction equipment.Work with operators as needed/required.Responsible for monitoring/detecting temperature problems or other issues with equipment and reporting to supervisor as needed.Responsible for general safety and housekeeping in induction area and other areas as required/needed.
