Machine Shop Supervisor Skills Required: Machine Shop Supervisor, Forging process, Lean Manufacturing Principles, Theory of Constraint, Six Sigma variable analysis technique, MS Excel Job Description: We are currently our assisting our client a major industrial manufacturer identify a Machine Shop Supervisor.What you will be doing:- Directing the operations to meet planned production schedules to comply with specifications and to ensure minimum costs. - Supervision of Union employees and daily P&L reporting. What you need: - Machine Shop knowledge required - 1-5 years of manufacturing experience. - 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred. - Knowledge of forging process preferred. - Knowledge and experience with Lean manufacturing principles and Theory of Constraint principles preferred. - Union Shop experience is a plus. - Four year degree is a plus, but not required. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Must be organized with the ability to plan and schedule work. - Intermediate MS Excel skill level preferred. - Must be able to lead and motivate hourly employees to meet strict scheduling and productivity requirements. - LEAN Manufacturing concept implementation experience preferred. - Exposure to and understanding of Theory of Constraints throughput and inventory management preferred. - Exposure to Six Sigma variability analysis techniques preferred.
