We are currently searching for a Maintenance Technician to support our 2nd shift production and join our growing team. Their main focus is to set-up and repair production equipment in the most effective and efficient way possible to keep operations running seamlessly. A technician’s overall focus is on the team’s ability to keep CPS running in an effective and profitable manner at all times. Technicians are also required to focus on training new employees, complete documentation associated with equipment and technical team, and support the management team in machine specifications and help increase throughput while keeping the quality of our products at 100%.

 

General Accountabilities:

1) Maintain the highest possible technical machine uptime for the production floor

2) Track, order, and stock all necessary replacement parts for production equipment

3) Machine set-up for production and proof sets

4) Training new CPS employees

5) Maintain a clean and organized work area

6) Perform Preventive Maintenance on scheduled intervals

7)Set up and Management of machine throughput per job basis

8) Responsible for CPS building maintenance

9) Follow all CPS policies and procedures

 

Specific Accountabilities:

1)  Technicians need to set-up and repair production equipment in a timely manner and in accordance with the CPS quality standards and Job Jackets

2)  Technicians need to work effectively without direct supervision

3)  Technicians need to train new employees

4)  Technicians need to follow all Quality policies and CPS policies

5)  Technicians are required to complete all documentation correctly and in a timely manner

6)  Technicians need to communicate with other technician from other shifts, operators, leads, and management

7) Write machine set-up and repair procedures

8) Provide quick feedback to management on poor materials causing less then expected throughput

9) Provide analysis or reporting on machine performance

10) Pro actively request production plans and get the production line set-up

 

Requirements

1) High School Diploma or GED

2) Formal training or diploma in the electronic field

3) Able to lift 60 pounds

4) Can stand continuously for 8+ hours

5) Knowledge and past experience using Microsoft Windows

6) Knowledge and past experience using electrical test equipment

7) Mechanical and electrical ability

8) Knowledge and past experience with motors, sensors, custom software designs

9) At least 2 years of production repair and troubleshooting experience

10) Knowledge of general use of shop and hand tools

11) Ability to work independently

12) Ability to monitor and ensure all safety policies are being followed

13) At least 2 years experience working with personalization or mailshop type equipment

14) Proven communication skills

 

Organizational Reporting

The technicians report directly to the Technical Supervisor. If the Technical Supervisor is not available they should then see the Production Supervisor.
