Maintenance Team Leader (San Antonio Milk Plant)

This position is located at the San Antonio Retail Support Center in the Milk Plant.  This position will report to the Technology Leader.

Summary/Responsibilities of this position:Supervises a tactical team of non-exempt Partners engaged in supporting the day to day efforts of the maintenance operations of the departmentProvides coaching, training and development for the non-exempt Partners as well as administrating Partner Certifications in preventive and predictive maintenanceIdentifies and remains actively involved in critical situations by providing updates to the appropriate Leaders and taking appropriate action as neededAssists and supports the Technology Leader in the development and implementation of a comprehensive skills and training program for Maintenance PartnersEnsures Partner compliance with the Plant Safety ProgramIdentifies and develops the Maintenance Team CoordinatorsAssures work instructions and standards are followed by Partners to maintain equipment and the facilityEnsures that the facility and equipment comply with all local, state, and federal regulationsAssures compliance with work instructions, standards, and product specificationsCreates and executes preventative maintenance schedules, and conducts audits to ensure proper maintenance of equipment to meet customer demand in an efficient and effective mannerAssures that all preventive maintenance is done timely and accurately and meets the highest maintenance standardsEnsures correct ordering and inventory of parts to conduct the scheduled maintenanceGenerates reports to effectively communicate maintenance status and scheduled activities

Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Food/Industrial Technology, and/or a minimum of 3-4 years of experience leading a maintenance team in an industrial environment (Food Industry preferred).Strong leadership skills with proven ability in coaching and developing othersMust have advanced knowledge and practical experience in the areas of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, mechanics and refrigerationKnowledge of the operating statement, inventory reports,CIP computer systems, PLC systems and regulatory reportsBasic working knowledge and compliance: industry, EEOC and Employment LawsGood analytical ability and decision-making skillsStrong multi-tasking and attention to detail skills requiredMust have working knowledge of HACCP, USDA, OSHA, FDA and the state weight and measures requirementsDemonstrated skills in leadership, team building and continuous improvement development programs.Must be able to read and interpret schematics and blue prints.Knowledge of new industrial and/or equipment/machinery technology (preferred).Must have computer skills to include: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook (e-mail), as well as working knowledge of MP2 or any equivalent CMMS asset-tracking systems.
