LOCATION: Roswell, New Mexico

Impact Confections, a privately-held confectionary manufacturer providing innovative and award-winning candy products is currently seeking a self-motivated, maintenance engineering manager.  Excellent leadership skills along with a strong desire to improve processes and cultivate employees are required.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The primary responsibility of these positions is to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Manufacturing Equipment throughout the manufacturing facility which includes equipment related to the manufacturing of confectionaries.  This position must stay current on all computer and automated equipment and perform appropriate updates, modifications and installation of new equipment.  This department also assists production in efficient operation through the use of preventive maintenance methods, process improvements, technical training, lean manufacturing methodologies and advanced manufacturing techniques.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Depending on skill level, these positions require: 

Maintenance Tech DPerform preventive maintenance per equipment schedules. Perform maintenance work order repairs on production equipment. Repair/replace drive components and product conveyors. Write work orders, as needed, as per PM inspections and routine maintenance. Research and specify new replacement parts and mechanical improvements. Follow and observe all plan GMP(s), SOP(s), Rules and Safety Regulations. Overtime and weekend work as required

 

Maintenance Tech CAll skills listed above and includes: Troubleshoot AC and DC Motors and Motor Controls Read Schematics, Troubleshoot and repair/replace, electrical, pneumatic, system components. Performing light Welding, Fabricating and Machining. Write parts requisitions, as needed, as per PM inspections and routine maintenance.

 

Maintenance Tech BAll skills listed above and includes: Read Schematics, Troubleshoot and repair/replace, electrical, pneumatic, control devices, including PLC’s. Performing Welding, Fabricating and light Machining. Write work orders, as needed, as per PM inspections and routine maintenance. Research and specify new replacement parts and mechanical improvements.

 

Maintenance Tech AAll skills listed above and includes: Troubleshoot AC, DC and Servo Motors and Motor Control drives Ability to Install and Program, PLC’s, Motor Control drives, Process controllers, as well as other equipment in the facility Develop, publish, modify SOP(s), Operation manuals, Schematics.

 

Maintenance Tech A LeadAll skills listed above and includes Directly manage the maintenance staff, ensuring compliance to the Company’s established standards and all applicable laws Lead the maintenance staff in diagnosis of problems and repairs

 

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: 

Maintenance Tech DOne year certificate from college or technical school; or one year related experience, and/or training Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Maintenance Tech COne year certificate from college or technical school; two years related experience, and/or training Or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Maintenance Tech BOne-year certificate from college or technical school; three years related experience, and/or training Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Maintenance Tech AOne year certificate from college or technical school; three or more years related experience, and/or training; Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Maintenance Tech A LeadOne year certificate from college or technical school; three or more years related experience, and/or training; Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Direct management of maintenance staff experience

 

 

Job requires a professional individual with excellent communication and customer service skills.

 

Rate will be negotiated based on years of experience and industry certifications. 

 

STATUS: 

· Full-time, direct-hire Exempt position
