Maintenance Worker

The Maintenance Worker performs duties including, but not limited to, preventative maintenance, minor building repairs, and janitorial tasks.  Responsible to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and a hazard free environment.

 

Job responsibilities include (not limited to)

·         Complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner. Clean up after work is complete.

·         Perform repairs on the property, including janitorial duties and painting, basic carpentry or wall repair, plumbing, and electrical.

·         Maintain grounds, including lawns and flowerbeds, shrubbery, parking areas, trash pickup.

·         Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.  

·         Advise Manager of the overall condition of the property.

·         Maintain a positive approach to tasks and with co-workers.

   

Requirements

·         Education:        High School diploma preferred.  Knowledge of basic building maintenance required either through training or experience.

 

·         Experience:      One year building maintenance experience preferred. 

 

·         Abilities of the Maintenance Worker:

·         Dependable, excellent attendance, positive attitude, and good work ethics.

·         Flexible to change in work plans.

·         Receive & understand direction from the supervisor.

·         Read, write, do basic math, and follow instructions.

·         Relate and act professionally with vendors and co-workers.

·         Communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.

·         Use basic maintenance equipment and tools.

·         Valid driver's license in order to run errands, etc.

·         Work independently and fulfill assigned tasks.

·         Maintain a professional personal appearance.

·         Oversee work progress of vendors or outside contractors.
