Manager - Corporate Accounting

POSITION SUMMARY

 

As the senior member of the finance team, individual will provide overall leadership through strategic vision and direction for the various financial department functions. 

 PRINCIPLE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

 

t Manage and direct the General Accounting and Cash Application functions

 

t Manage monthly accounting close activities, record and review general journal entries and review monthly account reconciliations

 

t Act as Finance department liaison between the Division, Corporate Finance team and external auditors on a continual basis

 

t Ensure quarter-end and year-end Corporate internal and external audit financial reporting requirements are completed timely and accurately

 

t Ensure Division’s compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, Corporate accounting policies and procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

 

t Evaluate and assist in the financial analysis of new product and production machinery capital requests

 

t Assist in the preparation of the Division’s monthly forecasting process and annual budget to Corporate headquarters

 

t Assume additional related responsibilities as assigned

 REQUIREMENTS

 

¨ Bachelor’s degree (Accounting/Finance) with 10 plus years financial management experience in a progressive environment with manufacturing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

 

¨ Sound knowledge of financial reporting, analysis, controls and audit, and budget/ forecasting

 

¨ Demonstrated strategic planning, leadership and presentation skills; must be a hands-on leader

 

¨ Excellent computer skills; well developed verbal/written communication and mentoring skills; ability to achieve results through teams

 

Desirable Qualifications

 

¨ MBA or advanced degree and/or CPA

 

¨ Integrated business system implementation experience helpful

 

¨ External auditing experience
