Manager, External Instruments Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics is currently seeking to hire a dynamic and career oriented External Instruments Manager for our Global Instrument Manufacturing facility in Brookfield, Connecticut.  The responsibilities of the External Instruments Manager includes but not limited to:§  Works across the Global Supply Chain in securing instruments and services in support of multiple business product lines.§  Insures the supply, quality cost and compliance of the instrumentation and conducts formalized business review meetings to manage area of responsibility.§  Possesses the technical skill to understand and communicate issues and development of supplier relationships and mitigation of critical business issues. §  Drives continuous improvement of the supply chain processes and cost advantages to Siemens.§  Establishes business arrangements with suppliers and acts as the team leader and liaison for all strategic activities. §  Develops plans and executes all procurement related functions to meet requirements for sourcing strategies.§  Manages contract development and implementations of the terms and conditions of the agreement.§  Maintains close contact with Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance/Quality Systems, Marketing, Corporate Planning, Legal, Research and Development, and Manufacturing to insure the overall businesses are served.§  Involvement in new product development activities as it applies to external instrument manufacturers and participation in key business forums.§  Acts as the representative from supply chain to business units and key product management activities.§  Financially overseas product costs against goals and manages inventory to meet cash flow targets. Requirements:§  Bachelor’s Degree Supply Chain Management, Business Management or a related Science discipline.§  Ten Plus (10+) years in Supply Management, business and or sourcing environment with a minimum of 5 years in a related industry, plus previous contract development and negotiation experience. §  Strong working knowledge on analyzing technical data in supplier’s proposals and to perform total cost analysis. §  Capable of analyzing comprehensive technical issues and establishing clear communications and action plans.§  Excellent communication and negotiation skills and ability to take a leadership role on projects and teams.§  Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable with conflict management and resolution.§  Good project management skills that can meet aggressive goals and targets.§  Comfortable with strategic thinking, managing change, and risk taking.§  Experience in an FDA environment and equivalent agencies for Quality Management System development and compliance with regulatory affairs.§  Must have global experience and manage across continents in a way that gets results and builds relationships. Please submit your resume on line through Local area candidates only - no relocation offered Explore exciting career opportunities at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and become part of a dedicated team of professionals that achieves the highest standards of excellence.
