Finance Opportunity as Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

 

Fiskars Brands, a global manufacturer of branded consumer products, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, energetic, and team-oriented individual to fill the role of Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis in the Finance Department at our FISKARS Garden and Outdoor Living (GOL) division in Sauk City, WI.  The primary duties of this role will be to provide leadership to the finance and accounting team in a manner that encourages cross-functional participation and staff development; formulate and administer approved accounting practices throughout the organization to ensure that financial and operating reports accurately reflect the condition of the business and provide reliable information necessary to control operations; maintain a sound internal control environment to ensure the company’s assets are safeguarded; ensure accounting records and reports have the highest degree of integrity; provide management with information to make informed business decisions.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

·  Oversee and supervise all general accounting functions – accounts receivable, fixed assets, general ledger, reporting, and royalty/legal accounting.

·  Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures; ensure all critical accounting processes are adequately documented, staffed, and back-ups identified and trained.

·  Prepare analysis of all significant actual variances to plan, forecast, and historical results; identify business risks and opportunities from the analysis prepared, as appropriate.

·  Plan and manage the weekly forecast and annual budget process, including internal resource requirements, information requirements, and timetables; coordinate with the cost function to establish consistent forecasts/annual budget information and analysis.

·  Work closely with sales and marketing staff to assess profitability of current and future product and program offerings.

·  Establish quarterly and annual objectives for all direct reports; assist the Controller in setting departmental goals and priorities.

 

Ideal candidate will possess:

·  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent) with 5-7 years with progressive responsibility in a financial department (2-3 years in management role).

·  Ability to create budgets, forecasts, strategies, and priorities based on objectives.

·  Experience in consumer products a plus.

·  Microsoft Office and JD Edwards (or similar ERP system) experience a plus.

·  Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment essential, with a high degree of flexibility and tolerance of change.
