Manager, International Taxes

The incumbent will supervise two professionals and manage the U.S. tax compliance of PPG’s international activity. This represents the largest single area of PPG’s U.S. consolidated tax return. The Manager, International Taxes will coordinate the calculation of the foreign tax credit for financial reporting purposes, estimated tax payments, and the U.S. consolidated income tax return, including the §861 allocations and apportionments that support the foreign tax credit. The incumbent will also supervise and review the annual Form 5471 filings for more than 300 foreign affiliates including maintenance of supporting documentation. In addition, the incumbent will support the IRS exam of PPG’s international activities.

The incumbent manages the international tax function’s use of CorpTax software, internally developed spreadsheets, and corporate accounting data. The Manager will lead the international team to develop innovative techniques to enhance the integrity of PPG’s filings, while improving efficiency.

Successful candidates must have a degree in Accounting, and 5-10 years of public accounting and/or multi-national industry tax experience including federal tax and international tax experience. Successful candidates will have strong accounting, analytical and problem solving skills, demonstrated leadership skills and ability to supervise professional level employees. Corp Tax software experience is strongly preferred, and a CPA and/or an advance degree is considered a plus.
