Manager - Program Management Group

The purpose of this role is to provide leadership for program and project management for all businesses/divisions in the Bearings and Power Transmission Group. The position is responsible for the development and implementation of the global program and project management business processes.  The individual assumes the lead role to achieve successful program and product launches for the bearings and power transmission group.  In addition, this individual takes responsibility for the continued development and implementation of a long-range forecast that will result in capacity right sizing and portfolio management of markets and products.  This role also exists to achieve alignment and common goals regarding product programs and projects across key functional departments including Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Quality, Technology and Legal. Responsibilities of this key position include: 1.  The short and long-range global program and project management vision, goals, strategic objectives and tactics for the Bearings and Power Transmission Group. 2.  Systems, procedures, implementation and metric tracking of project and program management processes to assure successful project plan objective achievement with cross-functional department alignment  3.  Systems, procedures, implementation and metric tracking to achieve successful product launches in accordance with customer requirements while eliminating non-value added documentation, activities or related practices. 4.  Systems, procedures, implementation and metric tracking related to the continued development and implementation of a long-range forecast tool that will result in demand vs. supply balance views and portfolio management of assets, markets, and products. 5.  Assist the director of product management in representing and gaining the alignment of senior leadership regarding the long range forecast including capacity and portfolio implications. 6. Leadership of external affiliation opportunities related to program/project management. 7. Leadership, training and coaching to the program and project management team, development plans, project plan accomplishment, etc. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Engineering Management discipline and at least 10 years of experience.
