THIS POSITION IS CURRENTLY POSTED WITH CONAGRA FOODS, BUT WILL TRANSITION TO A NEW COMPANY WITHIN THE NEXT 30-60 DAYS DUE TO THE SALE OF THE CONAGRA TRADE GROUP.
Position Summary:
The position is accountable for daily, worldwide Treasury transactional and liquidity operations including borrowings, letters of credit, cash positioning, forecasting and accounting. Overseeing a team of two professionals, the incumbent will serve as the lead daily contact for all global bank accounts, including working directly with accounting, tax and legal teams along to provide flexible, best practice Treasury management tools, services and financial control functions that allow the Company to do business as efficiently as possible with the least amount of cost and assumed risk.
Position Responsibilities:
· Monitor the execution and performance of the global cash management system on a daily basis to ensure daily liquidity needs of the business are being met. Manage daily cash position, bank account balance, borrowings, investments and execution of all transfers.
· Establish policies and procedures regarding domestic and international cash management controls, bank documentation and signatories. Deploy fraud prevention techniques for company’s money moving assets
· Direct the tracking, benchmarking and forecasting of borrowing costs to minimize expense
· Prepare rating agency and bank financial reports and investor memorandums.
· Administrate letters of credit or surety bonds to meet the needs of the company.
· Provide financial modeling assistance for long-term debt interest expense forecast.
· Rationalize the use of cash management service providers by designing and implementing a simple, cost-effective cash management structure
· Manage and approve bank account analysis to determine proper bank compensation for the levels of services rendered. Negotiate new pricing structures, legal and operating agreements with service providers
· Coordinate cash management accounting interfaces and posting systems.
· Creatively apply new technology that will position the cash management team away from daily transactional activities and into more value added analytical support roles. Design, implement and administer a worldwide treasury workstation software and disaster recovery plan
· Monitor and report on performance of benefit investment funds, reviewing investment manager performance and benchmarking comparisons for the company’s Investment Committee.
· Manage cash projects and act as a liaison between the operating management and the banks managing the acquisition and divestiture of bank activities, services and systems integration, and other tasks as assigned.
· Create an environment that sets clear objectives, coaches, trains, develops and motivates team members achieve desired business results
Qualifications/ Education/Experience/Skills:
· 4-7 years professional experience required with knowledge of banking industry
· Prior experience and through understanding of basic cash management tools, technology, services and laws is a must. Incumbent must also be able to manage a broad range of investments including equities, fixed income, derivative securities, separate accounts, mutual funds, and limited partnership agreements. Understanding of ERISA laws and prior experience working with custodial banks and trustees is preferred.
· Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree a plus) required with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting preferred. Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation is a plus.
· Excellent communication (both written and verbal), presentation and negotiation skills.
· Excellent analytical and organizational skills with impeccable attention to detail.
· Must be able to interact professionally and positively with employees at all levels within the organization.
· Ability to work on multiple, complex projects, simultaneously with frequent interruptions and see them to completion with limited supervision.
· Ability to maintain confidential information and strict adherence to specific guidelines.
· Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
