As a member of the sales team, you will serve as the lead sales person, responsible for securing new business programs with the government, a segment of our business with tremendous growth potential. If you are a high energy individual with a track record of closing the deal, please submit your name for further consideration.Core Responsibilities:Generate/capture new business opportunities/programs for Barnes Aerospace and its business units from the Navy and Defense Centers Richmond (DCR).Analyze core product, end product and core competency market segments throughout Barnes Aerospace.Determine and rationalize the Government competitive initiatives.Initiate/maintain Government/Barnes Aerospace communication channels and represent Barnes Aerospace at selected Government/Industry forums.Serves as lead capture manager for follow-up pricing/delivery quotations for approved SAR packages, working through/with current business leaders and sales support team.Provide Government technical, sales and contracting support for all Barnes Aerospace P&L divisions.Provide expert opinion/recommendations to senior level management on Government initiatives/involvement.Education, Experience and Behavioral Competency Requirements:BA or BS degree in Business Administration or technical discipline. MBA Preferred5 to 7 years of military/government sales experience. International sales experience a plus.Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.Customer focused; results oriented.Able to interface with all levels of management.Aerospace experience/knowledge.Must be willing to travel a minimum of 60% domestically.
