Manager of Accounting Projects and Research

Our globally recognized brands include Sharpie, Paper Mate, DYMO, EXPO, Waterman, Parker, Rolodex, IRWIN, LENOX, BernzOmatic, Rubbermaid, Graco, Calphalon, Goody, and Teutonia. The Manager of Technical Accounting Research will provide assistance in developing, documenting and monitoring compliance with accounting policies, including technical research and documentation of judgmental accounting areas such as restructuring costs, revenue recognition, business combinations, segment reporting, intangible assets, and others.  This individual will partner with business units and provide guidance on accounting policy and technical accounting issues.  At times the selected candidate will research and document technical accounting and reporting matters.  In addition this manager will document and monitor compliance with various accounting policies.  It is important to analyze financial results to ensure transactions are recorded in compliance with policies and guidance. Bachelors or University degree in Business/Finance/Accounting or related field Ideally 4 - 6 years experience with national public accounting firm Ideally 2 - 4 years industry experience in an accounting organization preferably with a public company Certified Public Accountant Extensive knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Extensive knowledge of SEC Reporting requirements Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word Detail oriented Technical knowledge, initiative and follow-up, judgment and problem solving skills Superior leadership and communication skills Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneouslyPreferred Qualifications:?
