My Client is located in the state of Washington is a growing heavy-industrial manufacturer of forgings for the air, sea, and land industries The company employs 250 people. Operations encompass melting, forging, heat treating, and a full service machine shop. Operating on Lean manufacturing principles. Company has grown exponentially.
This position will be responsible for defining and developing the engineering and maintenance systems required to effectively support the organization. This position is accountable for ensuring equipment, processes and facilities have the sustained capability to meet long term customer requirements and achieve business performance objectives.Responsibilities include: Direct and develop personnel within the Engineering Department.Supervise management of the Maintenance Department staff.Lead the development and implementation of facilities and equipment maintenance programs that deliver uptime, quality and cost profiles to meet performance objectives.Administer Capital Projects planning, budget and implementation. Aid in identifying, developing and managing cost savings initiatives. In conjunction with the Lean Manager, assist in the implementation ofmanufacturing tools andtechniques that improve work flow, throughput, and safety.Executive level reporting of overall Productivity and Maintenance performance, status of key initiatives and key operational issues
Job Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 10+ years manufacturing engineering experience. Must have experience working with large Multi-Million dollar capitol projects from beginning to end. Must have strong understanding of Maintenance/Mechanical, Electrical. Minimum 5 years experience supervising exempt/professional level staff Comprehensive computer skills and requisite software proficiency (MS Office Suite, MS Project, CAD, etc) Extensive project management & leadership background Strong decision-making, communication, organization and time management skills Ability to lead and motivate staff Experience with workflow analysis tools such as lean manufacturing techniques (TPS) Hot Metal industry experience mandatory (forge, foundry, rolling mill, etc).
