Manufacturing - CNC Operator, Laser

Maloya Laser, Inc. is a leading High Tech contract manufacturer specialized in the use of lasers and state of the art CNC manufacturing equipment.  Maloya provides fabricated metal components and assemblies to industries including Architectural, Aerospace, Automotive and Process Machinery. In addition to fabrication services, Maloya Laser manufactures its own product line of heat exchanger systems for the Aircraft Industry. We currently seek a CNC Laser Operator with knowledge of metal fabrication and/or experience in running CNC metal processing equipment.


 

BASIC FUNCTION

 

Responsible for maintaining the production cycle of the Laser Material Processing Machine. Produce accurate parts as per customer requirements and ensure the efficiency of the laser production process. Manage routine maintenance and management of consumables. Operate bar code scanning and job tracking functions.



SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

-Setup jobs on Laser Work Center.
-Review work order production instructions.
-Perform quality control as per the work order instructions
-Verify that parts are produced according to the required tolerance.
-Verify that the correct raw materials have been selected for production
-Maintain the production cycle of the Laser Machine with minimal interruption.
-Preform in-process inspection of cut quality.
-Verify that all parts have been cut for each job
-Monitor gas supplies and consumables required for proper laser operation.
-Preform accurate scanning and recording of production information as required.
-Perform Daily, weekly and monthly maintenance procedures on the Laser Machine.
-Perform clean up of laser cut parts as needed and organize for shipping or other work centers.
-Work on secondary operations during extended production runs.
-Assist in the semi-annual maintenance of the Laser Machine.
-Maintain a clean and organized work area, notify supervisor of any apparent maintenance issues.


QUALIFICATIONS

 

Knowledge: Equivalent to High School diplomaExperience: 3 year minimum manufacturing background

Special Skills/ PC knowledge necessary, Blueprint reading, basic inspection capabilities.Training:
