Manufacturing Controller with CPA

Dept. Of Defense or Government Contract Experience!CONTROLLER with CPAThe Controller position reports to the Director of Finance and is responsible for the cost accounting and pricing functions within Finance, along with ensuring appropriate accounting within the general ledger.  The Controller will interact with other functions, including Contracts, Business Development, and Operations in the proposal process and in developing and analyzing appropriate operational performance metrics.  The Controller will provide leadership to the Finance staff. Responsibilities: •Monitors and aids in the evaluation of company’s financial performance •Prepares and presents financial results, trend analysis, and forecast data for P&L and B/S. •Makes recommendations to Director of Finance on financial matters •Ensures company’s compliance with internal and external audit requirements •Coordinate with Contracts and program management departments to ensure contractual language complies with GAAP and SOX revenue recognition •Develops policies and procedures supporting strategic financial processes as well as tactical capture of metrics for analyzing current and forecasted financial performance •Assists in the development of strategic and annual department plans and budgets •Provide cost analysis for products and variances to budget •Lead cost estimating function for providing proposals to customers in compliance with government regulations Requirements:•MBA preferred, CPA is an absolute must have! •10 years experience in accounting in a manufacturing environment •DOD, Government Contract and Audit experience required Our client offers a competitive pay, outstanding benefit package including health, dental, vision, life, 401(k), pension plan, a flexible work schedule and career opportunities.  Qualified candidates forward resume to: teresa.ricketts@parkerlynch.com TAR Man.
