Manufacturing Engineer

This position is responsible for continuous improvement of metal fabrication processes to meet and exceed manufacturability requirements. Specifically, the ME will work closely with Engineering, Production and Management to:  · identify & evaluate manual and automated process improvements,  · analyze the feasibility and manufacturability of proposed modifications,  · lead and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives,  · manage new equipment installation, and  · sustain an environment of positive continuous improvement.  Position requires a four-year technical degree, 2+ years of directly related experience in a metal fabrication environment, and project management experience implementing Lean Sigma concepts in a participative environment. This hands-on, goal-oriented position also requires the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and effectively communicate with all levels of personnel. Preferred candidate will possess experience as a SMED leader and in training line personnel on process improvements.
