Liquid Container L.P. (www.liquidcontainer.com) is a growth oriented national multi-plant manufacturer of custom and stock plastic containers and we have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer in our Sturtevant, WI facility.  This facility is ideally located only 30 minutes from Milwaukee and the IL border.

 

The Manufacturing Engineer has the overall responsibility for the development, refinement, and continuous improvement of our manufacturing and material handling operations.  The ME also establishes the medium range objectives for process improvements, cost savings and quality and safety improvements.

 

Duties of the position include:

• Conduct troubleshooting of equipment with the coordination of the Production, Maintenance, Corporate Engineering and outside vendors.

• Develop and evaluate cost-justification proposals for new/improvement of exiting equipment and processes.

• Design, document, and implement fixtures and tooling to assist with improvement in set-up, testing, and manufacturing of product.

• Provide production support including root cause investigations and development of improvement plans.

 

The ideal candidate should possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.  Advanced knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems and proficiency in Word, Excel and AutoCAD are required.  This position requires a Bachelors degree in a related Engineering field and at least 3 years experience in a Manufacturing environment.
