Manufacturing Engineer (Graduate Development Program)

Terex Corporation is a global business leader that manufactures a broad range of equipment for use in various industries, including the construction, infrastructure, and quarrying, recycling, surface mining, shipping, transportation, refining, utility and maintenance industries. The Company operates in five business segments throughout the world: Terex Aerial Work Platforms, Terex Construction, Terex Cranes, Terex Materials Processing & Mining, and Terex Utilities & Road-building, and Other. Our graduate development program allows candidates with Masters and Bachelor degrees to gain experience in a variety of business disciplines. The incumbents will be put through a 2 year program with 6 month rotational assignments gaining exposure and experience with a variety of functions and interactions. Upon successful completion of the 2 years of assignments, based on business need and personal preference, candidates will be placed in a position within the Terex Corporation. Applicants should be willing to travel during this 2 year program and be open to relocation upon completion. _This is an entry level position within the Terex Organization.   Actively participate in all systems manufacturing planning, including capital investments product design issues, resource allocation, plant layout and quality issues. _ Demonstrate knowledge in machining, welding, material handling, paint and assembly process. _ Define current state and future state flow of material and information. _ Aids in Rapid Improvement Process (RIP) and Kaizen events. _ Provides technical support for level loading/production scheduling. _ Work with production supervisors on manufacturing safety issues. _ Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • 4 year degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree • Minimum 3.40 GPA EXPERIENCE LEVEL: • Entry Level Position with 0 to 3 year experience • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment a plus COMPETENCIES: Analytical/Critical thinking Attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects effectively Flexibility Willingness to learn Initiative/Change Management SKILLS: • Ability to use Microsoft Office and PC-based software • 3-D, CAD, SolidWorks skills • Strong communication skills (written and spoken English). • Ability to work in a team environment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Sedentary _ involves constant sitting. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally, frequent lifting of 1-2 pounds.
