Manufacturing Manager/Operations Manager

Location:  Minneapolis, MN

 

My client, a growing, global, custom capital equipment manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Manager who can promote operational excellence throughout the organization.  This position calls for a leader who can be effective cross functionally to manage and allocate resources with a focus on Lean improvements and improved performance management.  The ideal candidate will be upwardly mobile with outstanding influencing skills.

 

Some of the responsibilities of this position will be to:

 Develop and maintain operating plans and policies for the system performance group including processes, scheduling, cost, quality, operations planning, and site utilization. Plan for the timely and efficient execution of system performance verification and testing. Establish and maintain quality standards. Control the cost of services and materials provided for systems performance verification. Develop budget, monitor performance, direct corrective action and continuous cost improvements for all areas. Foster product and process improvement through effective interface with engineering groups. Collaborate at all levels with other groups that affect, or are affected by systems verification, to coordinate, tailor and improve performance to maximize quality, cost and delivery. Direct the planning and coordination for long-range utilization of test and verification resources.

 

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required. 5+ years experience in manufacturing or operations management, project execution, production testing, and/or performance verification.  This experience must be in a similar capital equipment-type environment, preferably complex custom systems.
