About the Opportunity Both our Barberton and Akron facility are in need of a talented individual to fill the role of Shipping and Receiving Supervisor on first shift.  This position will be responsible for all Shipping, Receiving, Material Handling and Storage functions including supporting production, coordinating deliveries, inventory accuracy, etc. The ideal candidates: • Will be able to organize, coordinate, manage and motivate a team of approximately 10 to 20 employees to support manufacturing and customer distribution. • Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office). • Must have outstanding communication skills. • Must have outstanding leadership / supervisory skills. • Must have knowledge of warehouse inventory.

• Must have experience scheduling inbound and outbound freight.

• Must have experience handling international freight.

• Must have basic DOT knowledge.

• HAZMAT certification is preferred.

• Union experience is preferred.

• Must have the ability to manage 10 to 20 employees along with multiple priorities.

 

A minimum of 2-year degree and 5 years experience; in lieu of a degree a minimum of 8 years previous shipping & receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.
