Market Manager - Off Highway - (North America & Latin America)

Overall, this position is responsible for aggressively driving profitable growth and share of customer in the North American Construction, Mining Agriculture, Hydraulics, Diesel Engine, and Industrial Truck(Forklift) markets.  In addition this position has global strategic planning responsibility for all markets listed above.  Other key areas of responsibility include: Set pricing guidelines that will yield acceptable economic profit and educate sales force in their execution. Manage portfolio mix of customers and products to yield acceptable economic profit via customer segmentation, demand shaping, et. al. tools. Work with sales leadership to manage and control order book in alignment with business plan, customer priorities and product and customer portfolio management goals. Effectively communicate the value proposition of Timken product to customers directly and via sales force and other outlets (face time with customers > 35%). Efficiently and accurately manage ten-year forecast, one-year business plan, and monthly sales, pieces and profit forecasts. Develop Strategic Market Plan for applicable markets. Drive action and alignment across product management, sales, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to deliver value to applicable markets/customers as outlined in Strategic Market Plans. Drive market place objectives and operating goals into product and service requirements. Accelerate development of new lifetime of revenue opportunities for applicable markets. Evaluate longer term growth opportunities. Sales Growth for Regional Markets and Customers for applicable markets. Gross Margin (especially price realization) for Regional Markets and Customers for applicable markets. Economic Profit Regional Markets and Customers for applicable Markets. Global Strategic market plans and direction for applicable Markets. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of experience. Master's trongly preferred with 7+ years experience.
