Marketing Business Analyst
Position – Title: Marketing Business Analyst
Reporting Structure: Category / Brand Manager
Department: Marketing
Salary Information: Commensurate with skills and experience

Schedule: Day shift; mostly Monday – Friday; approximately 40 - 45 hours per work – schedule may fluctuate according to business needs.
Supervision and Scope: No direct reports.
Extended Contacts: Principle contacts include the category marketing team, research and development, purchasing, operations, and customers.

Job Requirements:
· Education/Experience: A combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance.
o Possession of a bachelor’s degree in a related business discipline
o One to two years progressively responsible experience in related business discipline
· Knowledge: Principles, practices, and methods of modern marketing; practices in operations procedures. Knowledge of PC, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Publisher and MS Power Point.
· Competency/Skills:
o Planning, coordinating, and supporting programs and presentations; revising and preparing as directed any material, brochures or marketing reports, materials and analysis.
o Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities with knowledge of statistics.
o Communicating clearly and concisely orally and in writing.
o Exceptional communication, analytical and organizational skills, as well as be detail oriented.
o Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, adapts well to change and able to prioritize multiple work assignments.
o The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, detail oriented and able to work independently as well as within a team setting.
Position Summary: Under general direction of the Category / Brand Manager this individual is responsible for work involving all aspects in connection with the Marketing department. In addition to assisting with various aspects of programs, presentations, and project coordination; this individual will provide the team with detailed analysis and recommendations to develop and support category plans, strategies, and tactical initiatives.
Principle Functions: The main function of the Marketing Business Analyst is to assist the Category / Brand Manager and Product Marketing Manager on category projects and objectives. This includes; however, is not limited to, execution of daily marketing functions, providing supportive development of standard reports, presentations and project coordination.
o Analyze and maintain marketing database information to include category trends and opportunities. Produce regularly scheduled sales and marketing reports.
o Develop the analysis tools needed to help the category team make educated decisions on development of category plans and meeting strategic initiatives.
o Provides trended information in particular product areas to assist in development of strategies and implementation of the company business plan.
o Analyze market potential and estimates potential sales to support the team in making key business decisions for program launches. Analysis to include identification of industry trends. Performing of competitive analysis, including price surveys and financial benchmarks. Procure and analyze samples as required.
o Analyze test programs, including cannibalization impact providing written recommendations and conclusions.
o Analyzes, organizes and provides key take-aways on performance of actual to financial/budgetary goals.
o Assist with the executing of marketing strategies and objectives. Act as an internal and external liaison to coordinate literature / results of marketing tests, objectives and publications.
o Assist marketing team both internally and externally to ensure identification of appropriate manufacturing schedules, goals, design criteria, costs, and similar considerations for category development.
o Assist with communicating and coordination of details of program within the organization with a wide range of functions and individuals.
o Provides continuing product surveillance and management of established product to obtain financial objectives.
o Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
