PLANNING and Scheduling MANAGER

 

BWAY, a major packaging manufacturer has an exciting opportunity for a Planning and Scheduling Manager in the Cincinnati, Ohio Metropolitan Area.  Responsibilities encompass capacity planning, materials planning, logistics, Customer Service, and inventory control. It also includes control of equipment scheduling, materials, manning, and inventory programs and the monitoring of data entry to drive inventory accuracy.

 

This highly visible position requires the ability to direct others and to pull sales/production data, compare progress to schedule, resolve scheduling conflicts, analyze information, and coordinate solutions. The Planning and Scheduling Manager will also prepare the production plan for annual budgeting, as well as perform other related duties as required.

 

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years-related experience or equivalent, and excellent communication and management skills. Excel (power user preferred), MRP experience and solid Access and / or database management skills are required. Advanced Planning knowledge, Logistics and Customer Service experience is a plus.

 

BWAY Corporation manufactures various steel and plastic containers such as aerosol cans, pails, specialty cans, oblong cans and ammunition boxes, which are used to package items from paints, lubricants, roof and driveway sealants to food, coffee, vegetable oil and aerosol products.
