MATERIALS ANALYST

The ideal candidate must be a hands-on individual familiar with the manufacturing environment, high energy level, career oriented as well as focused on continuous improvements.

 

Detailed requirements of the position are thoroughly explained below and are intended to provide a qualification summary for the candidate we are searching for. 

Major Responsibilities:
1. Develop tools for lower level material commonality analysis

2. Planning BOM (Bill of Material) structures and strategies

3. Statistical modeling including lower level components safety stock guidelines

4. Support S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process

5.  Manage inventory planning parameters (Safety Stock, Re0order point quantities, Lot Size, Lead-time, etc.) such that the component and finished goods availability levels are in line with the monthly S&OP expectations.

6. Tracking and managing the effectiveness of the planning parameters to rationally adjust safety stock levels and to continuously improve the overall planning parameter process.

7.  Tracking, analyzing and reporting the KPI

8.  Identify trends and work with Master Schedulers and Planners to proactively adjust safety stock levels

9.  Prepare required reports to support business needs

10. Research situations and obtain input from team members to ensure fact-based solutions and answers to technical and operational problems.

Qualifications:
• BS degree or equivalent experience required.  Prefer degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration with Supply Chain focus, Operations or equivalent.
• 3-5 years experience in Operations, Purchasing, Production and Inventory Control
• Excellent communication skills, works with all levels of associates
• Results driven with emphasis on keeping customer and business commitments
• Consistently demonstrates highest level of personal ethical conduct
• Strong analytical skills
• Lean manufacturing experience
• Bias for action, strong problem solving skills
• Advanced knowledge Microsoft Excel and Access (data manipulation)
• Knowledge and use of MRP system. Prior BPCS/SAP Manufacturing experience a plus

• Project Management skills

• Experience leading transformation projects within a manufacturing environment

· APICS certification a plus
