Job Title: Materials Control Spec/Supply Chain

Scope of Position:
This person is involved in planning, scheduling, and the overall monitoring of material movement throughout the production cycle. Primary areas include procurement, materials management, logistics operations, transportation and distribution. Works closely with plant buyer. Responsible for the physical task of shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Person serves as day to day facilitator/internal supplier of materials to operations groups. This includes but is not limited to raw materials, finishing batches, and packaging material. Successful Candidate will manage returnable pack program. This person as part of Logistics group will interface with planning, operations, procurement, and engineering to ensure continuous supply of materials to the plant and third-party warehouse. Successful candidate will facilitate cost reduction efforts and drive for continuous process improvements.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- 3-5 years direct experience required.
Required Skills:
- Experience with Peoplesoft Supply Chain and Peoplesoft Procurement
- Solid Computer Skills especially MS Office, presentations.
- Direct work experience in materials movement, logistics, and planning.
- Ability and experience working in fast paced and flexible environment
- Customer focused.
- Ability to work in highly diverse environment and strengths in working across all Payrolls.
Soft Skills:
- Ability to make quick decisions and set priorities for team members in the face of multiple customers.
- Be able to effectively communicate with operators to direct actions and meet customer requirements.
