The client is headquartered in Chicagoand driven by a new leadership team. The role of Materials Planning/Logistics Director is chartered to strategically realign the corporations planning, scheduling, and logistics model, to drive demand planning, and better utilize equipment/materials deployed at sites across the country. A new leadership team is visionary, focused on growth, and advocates contemporary supply chain/logistics philosophies. This corporate role will develop and deploy new strategies. With a change oriented culture and a focus on growth, the exposure of this role provides excellent advancement potential.

This position requires a Bachelors degree, preferably supply chain/logistics related, and an MBA or related Masters degree. Individuals must have prior strategic and line supply chain leadership experience. Candidates must be experienced with corporate-wide sales/operations planning to drive production, procurement, and inventory management functions. Candidates must have experience with lean/TPS practices. Strong communication skills are important to lead/build teams, to mentor employee development, and to engage the corporate leadership team.
