Manufacturing/Production/Operations Relevant Work Experience: 5+ to 7 Years Career Level: Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Contact Information Reference Code: 1957 Job Description Materials Supervisor Corporate Overview Pentair is a diversified operating company headquartered in Minnesota.  Its Water Group is a global leader in providing innovative products and systems used worldwide in the movement, treatment, storage and enjoyment of water.  Pentair's Enclosures Group is a leader in the global enclosures market, designing and manufacturing standard, modified, and custom enclosures that house and protect sensitive electronics and electrical components.  With 2007 revenues of $3.45 billion, Pentair has approximately 15,000 employees worldwide. Visit our corporate website for more information: www.pentair.com   Position Overview The Materials Supervisor is responsible for the movement of materials from the warehouse throughout the manufacturing facility. Responsible for supporting the Lean Manufacturing initiatives to ensure productivity and quality operations.      Major Areas of Accountability ·  Establish, implement and manage strategies to increase productivity and effective movement of materials throughout the plant. ·  Manage a three shift materials workforce – 20-25 direct reports ·  Manage the materials process to ensure that the parts are moved throughout the plant as scheduled and finished goods are moved to distribution. ·  Resolve and escalate issues to appropriate parties (shortages, quality, flow, etc.) Manage materials equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, carts, dock doors, shrink wrappers, racking, etc Responsible for developing and managing inventory control policies Develop and maintain standard work and lead continuous improvement efforts ·  Other duties as assigned.     Minimum Qualifications Required: ·  Bachelors Degree ·  Minimum of 3- 5 years in manufacturing supply chain ·  ERP experience required, preferably SAP ·  Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment ·  APICS certification is a plus Pentair is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
