MatrixOne PDM/PLM Administrator

MAJOR PURPOSE OF POSITION

Develop, execute and maintain existing MatrixOne schemas, technical support, system security, training, policies, guidelines and procedures and provide assistance in the development and implementation of new MatrixOne applications and interfaces with the company information systems.

JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Schema - Coordinate and maintain the corporate MatrixOne schema across the development, QA and Production environments, including the analysis of existing schema environments for performance improvements, schema integrity and consistency across the schema elements.

2. Application Development - Participate in ongoing development of new corporate MatrixOne applications, including the development of schema, policies, programming, documentation and testing of new applications developed. Create ad hoc or bolt-on programs using Structured Query Language (SQL), Tool Command Language (Tcl/Tk) with integrations to other applications.

3. Data Integrity - Participate in the planning, analysis and integration of all corporate information, including the loading of manual data into company information systems.

4. Support - Provide second level support of all MatrixOne applications by processing assigned Global IT Support Help Desk Case (HDC) tickets, including the necessary research, solution definition and execution, and user follow up to close the assigned HDC tickets.

5. Training - Develop, execute and maintain a corporate MatrixOne applications training process, including development of training guides, performing basic hands-on computer training of users in a classroom or webex environment, and continued additional training for advanced or specific application requirements.

6. User Documentation - Develop and maintain corporate MatrixOne application user guides, including the coordination of user guide translations to multiple languages.

7. Standards/Policies/Procedures - Develop and maintain corporate MatrixOne system and schema standards, policies and procedures.

8. Security - Coordinate and maintain the corporate MatrixOne system security, including the registration and set up of new user security, maintenance of existing user security, monitoring and analysis of user activities through the use of user activity logs and/or proactive programmatic monitoring activities.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. PLM workflow design, configuration, and implementation experience. Security role and privilege definition and administration experience. Strong knowledge of Product Lifecycle/Data Management (PLM) and Configuration Management (CM) processes.

TYPE AND LENGTH OF EXPERIENCE

This position requires a minimum three years experience with MatrixOne PDM/PLM software. A college degree is not required but helpful. 3 years experience as analyst, developer or programmer in a manufacturing or software development organization. Previous experience should also include some type of interaction with engineering, production control, material control, pricing/invoicing, and purchasing business processes found in a manufacturing environement.
