Mechanical Design Engineer - H1724

Job Description Engineer will be responsible for evaluation of hard disk drive track misregistration (TMR) performance, identification and ranking of TMR detractors, and work with servo and mechanical engineers to develop and execute improvements. Perform HDD failure analysis  where TMR performance problems are suspected. Develop TMR budgets, projections, and roadmaps for new products. Travel as needed to support product launch.Job Requirements MS, or PhD in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with minimum of 3 years of experience in development or integration of hard disk drives. Solid skills in drive level characterization and failure analysis is preferred. MatLab proficiency is required. Should be familiar with mechanical dynamics and servo control systems. Demonstrated ability in creative problem solving and innovation.
