Doherty Career Solutions has teamed with world-wide leading manufacturer of high-tech battery systems for industrial applications; for use in space, aeronautics, telecom, transportation, and defense in search of a Mechanical Engineer Manager to work in their Cockeysville, MD facility.  

Responsibilities:

1. Manage a team of Mechanical Engineers and Designers

2. Provide technical and management direction

3. Design and develop cells and batteries: analyze requirements, evaluate trade-offs, justify design selection based on performance, cost and schedule as defined by program Manager

4. Working with production department, manage and support the transition from design to production

5. Support other departments (purchasing, productions, electrical engineers, R&D, shipping, quality control, etc)

6. Design and develop proposals and support marketing, interface with customers and vendors

7. Stay informed of the latest developments in his field through training, conferences, reviews or R&D material and generate patents and other intellectual proprieties

8. Support purchasing to develop and maintain a quality vendor and supplier base

Requirements:

1. Mechanical Engineering degree

2. Strong design experience

3. Must have Pro Engineer experience

4. Electronic and electro-mechanical packaging or related experience
