Mechanical Engineer Trainee - Oak Creek, WI

Description of Training Program:

• Initial 1-week formal orientation to the Plant, employee benefits and safety, health and environmental requirements and informal department orientation.
• Immediate on-the-job training with other experienced engineers, supplemented by in-house seminars and/or contract training and development services.

Typical Assignment after Training:

After initial training, the engineer may be assigned to Project or Maintenance Engineering. Project Engineers will be assigned capital or expensed projects that require detailed design, cost estimates, drawings, specifications and equipment selection, procurement and installation. Maintenance Engineers work closely with maintenance, production, and engineering personnel to provide technical support for existing equipment and maintenance processes. Additional responsibilities include breakdown analysis and preventive maintenance programs.

BS - Mechanical Engineering

Other Qualifications:

• Above average academic credentials and strong leadership qualities.
• Good verbal and written communications skills.
• Interest in plant engineering and design.
• Excellent tool and equipment design capabilities.
• Computer skills
