Mechanical Engineer and Engineering Document Checker

Industrial Smoke and Mirrors, Inc is a manufacturer of simulators and components.  We have an impeccable reputation within the industry and are highly respected.  Due to our wonderful work and great reputation, we are growing very quickly and are in need of an Engineering Document Checker and also have multiple openings for Mechanical Engineers. 

Job info/requirements for the Engineering Document Checker are:

Successful candidates will be able to check manufacturing drawings to ANSI standards and provide an engineering form, fit, and function check against computer models for accuracy.  Individuals must have a thorough working knowledge of the manufacturing process including steel and aluminum weldments, sheet metal forming, machining, and assembly.  Recent experience in AutoCad 2D or similar software is preferred.  Experience in AutoCad 3D solid modeling or Autodesk Inventor is helpful.Experience with flight training devices is preferred but not required. 

Job info/requirements for Mechanical Engineers are:

Individuals will be required to perform complete detailed mechanical designs as well as simple analysis.  All designs are performed in 3D.  Individuals must work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision and must be capable of directing others when needed.  Candidates are preferred to have recent experience using AutoCAD 3D Solids and/or Autodesk Mechanical Desktop or similar software.  Individuals should also have a working knowledge of the manufacturing process including steel and aluminum weldments, sheet metal forming, machining, and assembly.
